Ringworm is a type of fungi which usually lives naturally on the skin. When the environment they live in gets warm and moist, they can grow out of control and start to cause symptoms.
It's a circle shape, can be itchy, is contagious, and has a noticeable 'ring' around the outside. It can come from cats and dogs, so if it does show up on humans, check your pets in case they need treating also.
Ringworm popped up on my daughter recently and we treated it easily using Angi Angi (usnea) oil!
Angi Angi has strong antifungal compounds, which are very beneficial in clearing fungal & bacterial infections, including ringworm and candida. Used topically, it can stop bleeding and activate the healing of the skin and wounds in general.
It can also rid the body of viral infection held in the body like herpes, pneumonia and eptein barr virus.
It is one of Nature's most powerful antibiotics, it will treat several conditions caused by gram positive bacteria. Some of the bacteria that it acts against effectively include Staph (Staphylococcus simulans and S. Aureus). It also acts against Streptococcus. By only killing the gram positive bacteria, it is a great way of eliminating bacteria without harming the beneficial bacteria.
To treat the ringworm: we simply applied Angi Angi oil to the area 2-3 times a day and left it to dry. Ringworm thrives in warm, moist conditions, so try to keep it dry if possible.
And it cleared up quickly! Nature to the win!
Some other herbs you can also use for Ringworm are:
You can support the body internally with vitamin c, zinc, sun and a clean diet. Ringworm is very easily treated at home using what Nature gave us ♥
